Langston Hughes High School and Creekside High School have
represented South Fulton County, Georgia (Metro Atlanta, GA) in a major way
during this 2013 Football Season!!!
“McEachern erased a 12-point fourth-quarter deficit and advanced
to the Class AAAAAA quarterfinals with a 22-21 road win over Langston Hughes at
Panther Stadium in Fairburn Friday night.
For the second straight year Hughes (10-2) was eliminated by the
third seed from Region 6-AAAAAA, and McEachern (10-2) reached the quarterfinal
round for the first time in 14 years. The Indians will play Collins Hill next
week.” --- *From Prep Zone Sports:
Congratulations on another successful season!!! Langston Hughes will continue to take their program to the next level!!! To the administration, coaches, teachers, players and support staff, job well done!
Undefeated Creekside beat North Paulding High School 41 – 14
last week in the 3rd round of the playoffs, and they are poised to
take on undefeated Kell High School this upcoming Friday for a spot in the
State Championship Game at the Georgia Dome!!!
Now you may believe that Creekside is all about the Berry
Twins (brothers of All-Pro Free Safety Eric Berry of the NFL’s Kansas City
Chiefs), but you would be mistaken. Creekside is stacked with talent on both
sides of the ball and when they hit the field, it’s all business for this coaching staff and players!
No doubt the team is being Spiritually motivated by the
death of 11th grade standout De’Antre Turman, affectionately known as “Tre Tre,” who died from breaking his
neck while making a tackle in a pre-season scrimmage game.
